I spent three days at the Wild Coast Sun shooting the Pam Golding conference. They were a really fun bunch, with many of them having the time of their lives. The final evening was a spectacular affair with lots of live entertainment and an appearance by Pam Golding herself.

Sometimes it’s nice to shoot a small event because there’s much less pressure and less to shoot overall too. There were a few speeches, a prize giving and dinner. It was all over quickly and I was home early.

The Pam Golding prize giving was a really big celebration, with everyone having the best time. There was a lavish meal followed by the prize giving, and finally, the DJ took over for a rip-roaring party. It was really fun to shoot.

The Technews conference was a workshop where a few speakers and some suppliers exhibited and demonstrated their products. The topic was residential security, which is big business in South Africa because of the very high crime rates.

The Pam Golding Gold Club Awards was one of the most festive events I’ve shot. These estate agents really know how to party, and the CEO, Andrew Golding, was all for it. It was a fun evening, and it was within walking distance from my house.

HP are trying to encourage more girls to get involved in computers and IT. They held an event at the Moses Mabhida stadium and invited the neighbouring girls schools to attend. It was a great day out with my cameras.

The Abbvie 10th birthday celebration was spectacular, with an international speaker, a presenter off telly and a professional string trio. The International Convention Centre housed the party, and I had the help of another photographer.

Vicky Cristina’s was a very lively restaurant with excellent food. They hired me to do the photos for their opening night. They had a few VIPs, investors and lots of entertainment in the form of dancers and a singer. Overall, an excellent night.

I used to work as a graphic designer at a sales and marketing company called The Unlimited. After about a year and a half, I decided to move on, but not long afterwards, I was asked to do the photos for their annual awards. It was great to see familiar faces again.

The Nedbank Beneficiary Solutions event was held at the Elangeni Hotel. The event was low-stress, and there was plenty of space to walk around and get all the required photos. It was my first corporate event, and once I got the ball rolling, it seemed I would be doing them for a very long time to come.
